Health and safety insanity appears to be international

I’ve been browsing through all those random photographs on my phone and found a striking one. I always thought that Britain as extensive health and safety warnings but I’ve found a photo taken in the Netherlands that may just top all the safety warnings I’ve heard in Britain If you don’t quite know what I mean : believe it or not people in Northern Britain are routinely warned that the stairs in railway stations may be wet and therefore slippery after heavy rainfall. (Has anyone ever met a Brit who is unfamiliar with rain and the effects of rain?)

But here’s the image I’m talking about:

Geen drinkwater translates to "no drinking water". Spotted in the Netherlands. (copyright Karlstein)

This clearly is fire fighting equipment with a “no drinking water” sign above it. Has anyone ever thought about quenching their thirst with water from the fire fighting equipment?!
