Tülay is maybe a bit misguided

I was with Mim and her friend Tülay during the lunch break. Mim’s & Tülay’s supervisor had just married his long-term boyfriend which Tülay found particularly exciting as she’s from a town in Turkey and doesn’t have seen many (open) gays in her life before and now she has even been invited to a wedding. In light of the following events I need to mention that I was wearing a gay pride bracelet.

So in her euphoria she put her hand on my knee (in a non-gay fashion like many people from the Mediterranean countries do) and asked: “Do you have any gay colleagues?!”

Before I could even attempt to answer I saw Mim spitting out her tea with laughter.
